The Burlingames

Chronicling the adventures of the B's

Weeks 25 and 26

by Dave

Since the pictures for week 25 and 26 were taken two days apart I’m posting them together. I don’t see a difference. :) We have enjoyed being able to see my belly move while Rupert is busy moving on the inside. It’s been kind of entertaining. On Sunday I had the privilege of being tickled by Rupert. He was all the way over on my right side and did a quick series of punches or kicks and it TICKLED!!! I started giggling and Dave was confused as to what was happening. Rupert has done this several time since, he seems to enjoy making me cringe and giggle.

Week 25 and 5 days

Week 26

You may have noticed the new location for the pictures, Dave is currently laid up with a sprained ankle (which has been healing over the last week) but he wasn’t able to stand up to take the pictures. Just trying to spice things up a bit. :)

I Wouldn't Say I've Been Missing It, Bob

by Dave

The big softball tourney was fun, but it ended prematurely for me; toward the end of the first game I slid into third base and sprained my ankle pretty badly. I went to the ER for x-rays after the games were over. They said my bones and ligaments looked fine and gave me a brace to wear during and after recovery. That put a quick end to my plans to go camping after the games.

Since my job requires me to walk and lift heavy things, I’ve been calling in sick all this week. As much as I enjoy not working, sitting around the house is getting a bit old.

I’m hoping my ankle gets better soon since Megan and I are going out of town this weekend. It’s our anniversary week and we’re headed to the cheese-land for a Packer game at Lambeau. I’d rather not have to hobble around Green Bay.

Week 24.5 and Stuff

by Dave

Here I am at week 24.5. I can’t seem to get a picture taken on the right day, oh well. I have on a new outfit from my Momma. She has been so wonderful to me, Dave and Baby Rupert. She has also been very generous and giving to us as well. Thank you so much Mom!! Yes, I changed the direction of my pose this week, we thought we would spice it up a little bit. :)

I also went to a pottery painting place with some good friends of mine and painted Baby Rupert a ducky bank. I was very excited about painting him a bank of some sort and the ducky was just too cute. I couldn’t resist. We have already put all of our spare change into, hopefully someday we will have enough spare change to be able to send him off to college. :) Here is a close up image of the ducky bank.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us and Baby Rupert. We know your prayers are being heard by the great physician, God Almighty, in heaven. God is truly amazing and can do such wondrous works. We have complete faith in Him and His ability to heal our little boy. Thank you again for your prayers and keep them coming!!!

More Furniture

by Dave

We purchased a dresser/changing table for Baby Rupert last night. We were just looking for a dresser, but this was a great deal. All I can say is hooray for Craigslist. A quick search of Target’s website showed me just how crazy-expensive these things can be.

Notice the cool little ducky piggy bank Megan painted for him. She and some friends went to a store where you can paint the pottery yourself, then they’ll glaze it for you. Pretty sweet.
