Pedals for Sale

by Dave

I’ve bought a lot of guitar and bass pedals lately. Most of them are going back to their home: eBay. Here’s what’s for sale:

  • Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer
  • Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter
  • Boss SD-1 Super Drive
  • Gallien-Krueger Diesel Dawg bass distortion

I also have two other pedals that will be listed next week: the Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive and Electro-Harmonix Octave Mulitplexer.

I am also on the verge of making several daring changes to my pedalboard lineup. I recently bought the new EHX Bass Big Muff Pi and it sounds fantastic. I’ve only tested it on my small practice amp at home, so the next step is to try it out with my main rig. If it passes (and I think it will), it will replace my current distortion, the Little Big Muff.

I also bought the EHX Bassballs (nano version). I’m trying to pick up a nano version of the EHX Small Stone phaser so I can put the two smaller pedals in the place of my current phaser, the EHX Russian Small Stone. The Bassballs is very cool, but I’ve yet to acquire and test the Nano Stone. I’ll post pics of the updated board as it changes.

Another One Bites the Dust

by Dave

We were presented with an ultimatum last night by the bank on the house we were looking to buy: say yes at their price or they’ll make the same offer to the other buyer in line. We told them to keep their house. The search continues.

Disappointment Sets In

by Dave

What a drag. The person our realtor has been in contact with at the listing agency is bordering on incompetence. Colin (our realtor) made a point of asking whether our offer had just been forwarded to the bank or if it had been accepted completely with no counter-offer from the bank. She said it was accepted with no counter.

Well, Colin called them again to get things started and the woman he’s been speaking to told him she had made a mistake; the bank actually had countered our offer. They want $8500 more than we offered. We’re willing to give a little, but not that much. We have a lot of time and we’re just coming into prime house-listing season. Plus, I’d hate to think that the people that are jerking us around at the listing agency are profiting from their stupidity.

We’re going to up our offer slightly. If they don’t bite, we’ll walk. We’ll see what happens.

We Have a House! (sort of)

by Dave

Despite some troubles with the listing agent and the possibility of being in a multi-offer situation, everything sorted out and the bank accepted our offer on a house. We’re very excited. The next step is getting the place inspected and getting our financing rolling. Praise God for working things out when they seemed to be getting dicier by the minute. We’ll keep ya posted on how the rest of the process goes.
