I Wouldn't Say I've Been Missing It, Bob

by Dave

The big softball tourney was fun, but it ended prematurely for me; toward the end of the first game I slid into third base and sprained my ankle pretty badly. I went to the ER for x-rays after the games were over. They said my bones and ligaments looked fine and gave me a brace to wear during and after recovery. That put a quick end to my plans to go camping after the games.

Since my job requires me to walk and lift heavy things, I’ve been calling in sick all this week. As much as I enjoy not working, sitting around the house is getting a bit old.

I’m hoping my ankle gets better soon since Megan and I are going out of town this weekend. It’s our anniversary week and we’re headed to the cheese-land for a Packer game at Lambeau. I’d rather not have to hobble around Green Bay.

Week 24.5 and Stuff

by Dave

Here I am at week 24.5. I can’t seem to get a picture taken on the right day, oh well. I have on a new outfit from my Momma. She has been so wonderful to me, Dave and Baby Rupert. She has also been very generous and giving to us as well. Thank you so much Mom!! Yes, I changed the direction of my pose this week, we thought we would spice it up a little bit. :)

I also went to a pottery painting place with some good friends of mine and painted Baby Rupert a ducky bank. I was very excited about painting him a bank of some sort and the ducky was just too cute. I couldn’t resist. We have already put all of our spare change into, hopefully someday we will have enough spare change to be able to send him off to college. :) Here is a close up image of the ducky bank.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us and Baby Rupert. We know your prayers are being heard by the great physician, God Almighty, in heaven. God is truly amazing and can do such wondrous works. We have complete faith in Him and His ability to heal our little boy. Thank you again for your prayers and keep them coming!!!

Rosie

by Dave

My bass has been named through a happy accident. I had previously been considering the name Rose, but I just didn’t love it. I was talking to Megan the other day about possibly using Leo and she asked what had become of the name I was previously considering: Rosie. Either she heard me wrong before or just didn’t remember. Either way, the name just seemed to fit. So there you have it; I shall call her Rosie, and she will be mine, and she will be my Rosie.

Poor Kitty

by Dave

I came across this image when I was searching for pictures of lions on Google. I think this is hilarious, but I still feel a little bad for this cat. Then I forget and laugh some more because it looks so ridiculous and angry.

Another Name Idea

by Dave

I was cruising the internet for naming ideas (trying to find nicknames for old fighter planes and cars) when I came across an article about naming cars. The author mentioned someone who had named their old Ford pickup Henry. It made my think about the maker and namesake of my p-bass: Leo Fender. I think Leo might be a good name for it.
