Some more updates…
by Dave
Here are some updated pictures. I apologize it has taken me so long to get them taken and posted on here. We’ve been a bit busy preparing for the baby, working, band practice (that’s Dave, not me) and lots of other things. I have been having Braxton-Hicks contractions now for a few weeks. My doctor felt two today, but no worries, it doesn’t look like I’ll be delivering any time soon. So, only a month to go until we get to meet this little guy!!!
Update on Rupert (I’m looking forward to calling him by his real name). He is continuing to pass his weekly BPP test. Praise God!! We are still very prayerful about his heart development and pray he is born completely healthy.
We did take a tour of the NICU last week, I was encouraged by the care he will receive when he is born. For those of you who don’t know, he will be taken to the NICU after his birth for further assessments. Our prayer is that he won’t be in the NICU for long and will be coming home with us within a few days. Dave may also get to carry him down to the NICU, depending upon how strong and healthy he is doing, otherwise he will be put in an incubator and rolled down the hallway.
As for visitors when he is born – you are all more than welcome to come visit after we have had ample time to bond with him. The NICU has a few rules that they would like us to follow – visitors must be with either Dave or I, all visitors must wash their hands before entering the NICU (and no rings or watches – lots of germs hide in the tiny creveses).
Again, we thank you so much for all of your prayers, encouragement, love and support. It means so much to the both of us. Thank you!!!!
