Parts Ordered

by Dave

I’ve taken the scary first step toward modifying one of my effect pedals. I have an Ampeg Sub-Blaster bass octave and I love it. The only problem is it does not have an LED to let me know if it’s on or off. I’ll be adding a status LED (which will require replacing the current foot switch to maintain true bypass operation).

I’ve also ordered the parts to build a new loop box. My current box has one loop, but I want a second for a bit more versatility. Plus, this will also serve as a good test of whether or not I really want to build these things for other people. I’ve contemplated building loop pedals as a side gig to make some extra cash. We’ll see if that’s still the case after trying to build one for myself. I’ll keep ya posted on the progress of both projects.

Dell BT Mouse

My new bluetooth mouse is here! I love being wireless. It’s a Dell mouse, but the flat black finish matches my MacBook perfectly. Now the only question is how long the batteries will last.

Crib

by Dave

A few weeks ago Dave braved the chaos of Woodbury and found a crib for Baby Burlingame. He made several stops before finding a crib at a great price in very good condition. We are excited to shop for accessories for the crib. There is a drawer beneath the bed as well, great place for storing bedding, blankets, or something.

Week 13

by Dave

Well I am 13 weeks along in my pregnancy and my baby bump is growing. I have been feeling great and feel truly blessed to have not been plagued by any morning sickness. I’m still tired but starting to not feel as tired as often, which is good. I have my second OB appointment next week, but I’m sure nothing exciting will happen then. I believe in July we will be able to find out the sex of the baby – boy or girl. :)

Washed Out

by Dave

Well, the big camping trip (read 20-minute drive) to Afton State Park was good while it lasted. I got there late since I had to work Friday, but made the most of my evening by trying to make the firewood fit into the fire ring. Becky has several good pics posted on Facebook.

The next day started off nicely with a good hike on the trails, followed by lunch and some down time. Unfortunately, the rain started shortly thereafter. We called it after a couple hours of indecision, thinking if we were going to pack up and walk out in the rain, it may as well be sooner rather than later. Plus, the Hintgens’ tent was leaking badly.

The evening finished nicely, though. After getting home and showering, we all went to Aaron and Leah’s, ordered pizza, killed some zombies and watched a movie. Not bad.
