We're Home!
by Dave
Praise God! Eli is home! The nurses pulled the last IV line from his neck this morning. Shortly after, we changed him into some of his own clothes and I held him for a bit to calm him down. He was just laying there in my arms, kinda zoned out and looking around. After a few minutes I put him in his car seat. He immediately recognized it as a familiar thing/place and started smiling. I think he knew it was time to go when we put him in there. He sat in there, smiling and talking, while we packed up all our stuff.
It didn’t take very long for him to fall asleep in the car. Once home, we took him out and put him in his crib. He fell back to sleep almost immediately. It’s good to be home.
Yeah!!!!! Lots of rejoicing and tears of joy!
Yay for Eli being home! And he looks right at home back in his crib. What a huge Easter blessing! Love you all!
I’m so glad that everything went well and that he’s home with you again. He is such a doll. I’m thinking baby model.
Aaah! I’m sorry! I don’t know what’s going on! I wrote a comment and it showed up, but I spelled my name wrong (Lah). So then I wrote the next one, but it took away the first one. So here’s my third (and first) comment:

Now that is a baby at peace right there. I love how they sleep with their arms up like that. He looks amazing guys. I’m really happy for you all!
Hope you’re feeling better Dave!
What a handsome little trooper! He’s going to be quite proud of himself once he’s old enough to realize how tough he is! :)
SO glad everything went smoothly and that he’s already home! Yay!
Aw, he looks so peaceful.
