It's a Girl!

by Dave

Nat and Sarah had their baby today. Sarah gave birth to Alexis Grace Burlingame. She came into this world at 8 lbs. 11 oz., and 21 inches long. Alexis has some peach-fuzzy hair. She’s a very cute baby and has been very quiet thus far. Nat said when he was in the nursery, many of the other babies were wailing away, but she just sat content. Here is Megan holding Alexis, with a closeup of the new baby.

My Amazing Husband…

by Dave

Today marks our fourth anniversary of being married. I feel so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man (yes we have had our ups and downs and will continue to do so), but he is still a wonderful man. Currently my favorite part of the day with Dave is at the end of the day, laying in bed together and praying for our son. Rupert apparently likes this part of the day as well, he moves and responds to our touch A LOT! Dave has shown me and taught me over the years how to grow in my faith. He has been my spiritual leader and mentor, I know he will continue lead and guide me in the years to come. I love how Dave makes me laugh and feel good about myself. He is constantly encouraging me in areas where I’m lack confidence in myself. Dave takes care of me when I’m sick and tells me to ‘get over it’ when I’m crabby. :) He has such a servant heart when it comes to taking care of me and loving me. Each day I’m in complete awe of God’s amazing works in our lives. I’m especially in awe of His divine hand in our marriage, I feel so lucky to be married to Dave – it makes my heart smile. Honey, I love you with all my heart and I’m so thankful for you.

My true love, David John Burlingame.

Nice Fish!

by Dave

Megan’s gone this week; she’s taking a class (working toward her master’s degree) in Wisconsin and is staying with a friend to save on driving and gas costs. I’m trying to fill my evenings while she’s gone to help pass the time. I went fishing with my brother and his wife after softball Sunday night. It was pretty sweet as Nat caught the biggest fish I’ve seen in person (and the biggest he’s ever caught). The mighty walleye came in at six pounds even and measured 26 inches long. Pretty sweet.

The Burlingame's Are Multiplying!

by Dave

The site will need some modification about seven months from now.

For those that haven’t already heard through various channels, Megan is pregnant! We’re very excited about the pending arrival of our first child. The projected due date is November 20, but that may change depending on what she learns at her OB appointment this week. I’ll keep ya posted.

Man Weekend

by Dave

Well, I survived the weekend with my brothers. Nat and I rolled up to Moorhead to hang out with our other brother, Judah, at MSUM. It was amazingly quiet there as it was the first weekend of spring break. Friday night I bowled one of the better games of my life: 172. Saturday night we watched the Oral Roberts University basketball team get steamrolled by NDSU. Not what you’d call an entertaining game. The in between times were filled with tv, eating and sporting goods stores. All in all, a great time.
