I received my Christmas present from my parents on Saturday. Mom and Brianna took me out to eat at Red Lobster for lunch then they took me to the Ordway to see ‘Sound of Music’. The play was fantastic!! The acting was wonderful, the songs were amazing and the company was awesome. I had such a wonderful time hanging out with my mom and sister watching one of our favorite movies being acted out on the stage. This was an unknown fact to me, but the ‘Sound of Music’ is a real live story. I didn’t know this until reading through the program given to me at the play that the Von Trapp family was a real family going through a tough situation in Austria. I’m intrigued to read and learn more about this family.
We also took the Burlingame/Paulson Kid picture on Saturday.
I spent several hours on Sunday baking cookies with some very good friends from high school, Katie Palmer and Gina Schneider. We were up to our ears in cookie dough, flour, sugar, eggs and butter. It was great to hang out with them and not count the calories. :) I came home with so many different kinds of cookies it was ridiculous, but Dave is happy. He now has cookies galore for snacking on. I even baked a double batch of his favorite – Peanut Butter Blossoms.
Gina, Katie and I taking a break from baking cookies.
These are all the cookies I came home with. Imagine how many there were before we split them up.
